Baa Baaa Sheep

What do you know about sheep?  Did you know that there are more than 1000 distinct sheep breeds worldwide?  Did you know that sheep are classified according to their primary purpose, the type of wool they grow, the color of their faces and more!  Who knew?  I've always thought they were just white, cute, wooly whatevers that are known to be "not so bright."  There are a plethora of sheep images to be found, and quite a few are most amusing.

Are you wondering why the fascination with sheep?  I was reading my Bible this morning in the book of John.  I came across a phrase in chapter 10 that captivated me, much like the array of images I found on sheep!

Pilgrimage

It amazes me how life fits.  My life with others' lives.  My story with others' stories.  My experiences with others' experiences.  Just this morning I've seen a connection between what others are living and what I am learning.
Have you even thought much of the word "Pilgrimage?"  I came across the word this morning as I was reading my Bible and it resonated with me.  It reminded me of what a couple of my friends had been sharing with me last night and I think they are on a pilgrimage.
I looked up the word and according to Dictionary.com it means "a journey, especially a long one, made to some sacred place as an actof religious devotionany long journey, especially one undertaken as a quest or for a votive purpose, as to pay homage."  The word reminds me of a picture drawn by Mary Engelbreit:

Wonder...

Wonder, Oh Wonder.....

It snowed last night.  When I awoke this morning there was some white stuff scattered on my lawn, and now it's  gone .  The snow wasn't that amazing, and yet....

Directly outside my front window is a small tree/bush.  I'd tell you what it's called, but I can't remember its name.  The leaves on it have turned brown, and most have fallen off.  One might say it's going through its annual ugly phase. This morning though, it was gorgeous.
